Opera for Windows — language files

To use Opera's language files you first need to download the Opera browser.

These files will change the language of Opera's user interface, but not the help files.

  1. Download Opera if you haven't already done so
  2. Download the desired language file from the list below.
  3. Go to Tools > Preferences in your Opera browser.
  4. Under "General", you will find the language settings. Click "Details".
  5. Click "Choose" and find the language file you downloaded.
  6. Click "OK" to close the "Details" dialog.

Note: Opera 9 will not be compatible with the language file format of Opera 8 and earlier.
