Mulberry Joins Opera

Opera and Mulberry sign strategic alliance agreement

New York, NY - Jan. 31, 2001

The makers of the leading independent multi-platform browser, Opera, and the leading independent cross-platform e-mail client, Mulberry, today announced a co-marketing and strategic alliance at the LinuxWorld show in New York City.

The Opera Web browser is made by Opera Software, ASA, headquartered in Oslo, Norway. Mulberry is made and published by Cyrusoft International, Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

"Mulberry has long been the fastest and most functional e-mail client on the market," said Cyrusoft CEO John Degory. "Opera is, similarly, the fastest and most functional Web browser. E-mail and Web access are the two biggest desktop applications on the Internet. We are pleased to join forces with Opera and show that there's a better, more reliable, faster, and more secure alternative to better-known brands."

Both Opera and Mulberry are available on popular versions of the Linux operating system, as well as versions for Solaris, Macintosh, and Windows, among other platforms.

"Mulberry's intuitive and fast e-mail client coupled with its broad support for different platforms makes it an exciting alliance for Opera," said Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO of Opera Software ASA.
