Am I eligible to participate in the Opera Hygge Desk contest?

You are eligible to participate in the contest as long as you live in a country where entry is not prohibited by law, and you are legally considered an adult in your country of residence at the time of entry.

How do I participate in the Opera Hygge Desk contest?

You can enter the contest in two ways:
  1. Online Submission:
    • Go to opera.com/lp/hygge-desk.
    • Provide your email, full name, and either a short creative text (up to 500 characters) or a photo that explains why you want a Hygge Desk.
  2. Social Media:
    • Post a short creative text (up to 120 characters) with #hyggedesk on any official Opera social media account.
    • Follow the extra steps for the platform you`re using (tag a friend, retweet, subscribe, etc.).

Are there any specific requirements for claiming the prize?

To claim your prize, you must possess a valid international driver’s license recognized in Norway, enabling you to drive from the airport to the cabin and use the rental car throughout your getaway. Additionally, you’ll need essential travel documents, including a passport, and may need to obtain a travel visa for Norway, depending on your nationality.

When does the contest start and end?

The contest will run from January 21st, 2025, to February 28th, 2025. After the contest concludes and the winners are announced, travel arrangements will be made. Please note that travel times may vary based on your location.

Can I enter the contest multiple times?

No, you can enter the contest only once.

What’s included in the prize?

The prize consists of:
  • Round-trip flights for two people (if the winner chooses a companion) to Norway, departing from the winner`s home location.
  • Ground transportation, including a rental car from the closest airport to the cabin.
  • A six-day stay in a private cabin at one of the selected locations in Norway, on fixed dates.

What is not included in the prize?

The Hygge Desk prize does not cover food expenses, insurance, or any other travel costs beyond those specified above.

How will the winner be chosen?

The winners will be selected by the Opera Team’s subjective opinion of the creative assignments.

How will the winner be notified?

What if I win, but the laws in my country won’t let me accept the prize?

Unfortunately, if the laws in your country prevent you from accepting the prize, you will be disqualified from the contest.
